It's great to have you back as always. So welcome to episode two of the Five Day Audience Growth Accelerator Challenge. So I'm bringing you a special series of podcast episodes, all about growing your audience on social media. If you haven't checked out episode 84, which is episode one in this series, make sure to give it a listen before diving into this one. So what are we doing in this episode? Well, in this episode we are talking about social media trends and how you can make the most of them cel. Let's dive in. Okay, so the first thing we're gonna look at is this. We're gonna identify trending sounds and templates, and I want you to save them for later. So I'm gonna give you the example that I use and it's Instagram. And now I always use Instagram. As I mentioned in the first episode of this series, Instagram is my platform of choice. So what I do is to identify trending sounds, um, more so sounds rather than templates. In Instagram in particular. I'll scroll through reels and what you'll see is a little sort of arrow pointing to the right and up. It's sort of at 30 degrees or maybe, yeah, 45 degrees. Either way, it's pointing, diagonally up. To the right and that will indicate that it's a trending sound. And if it's a sound that you think would resonate with your audience, just save it, bookmark it for later. And then, you know, you've got it there and you can compile a list or rather compile a, yeah, we'll go with a list of trending sounds that you can use at a later date. So another thing that I like to do, and this kind of goes against what I was saying in episode one of this series and, and, and just now as well with regards to focusing on one platform, is that I will scroll through Instagram and I'll find templates, mainly cap cut templates at the point of recording this episode that are trending. And if I find a template that I think will resonate well with my audience, I will save that as well. And what these templates do is if you are hard up for content, if you are in a situation whereby you're a producer or an artist and you don't really have anything going on at that present, but you wanna remain active and put content out, you can use these templates just to generate, um, point of views, situations of things that are happening in the studio that happen to other producers. And you'll see that will spark interest and it'll spark engagement on social media. So what I'm saying here is folks, is this. Look at what's trending. Once again, I'm using the example of Instagram for that, that trending arrow and bookmark those sounds cuz you know you can use those as a later date and don't bookmark everything, but just think, will that appeal to my avatar? Will that appeal to my audience? And do the same with the templates as well. So what I'm saying here is you want to compile a bank of trending sounds and then also trending templates. So give that one a go. That's tip number one. So this next tip is from research, or rather what I've experienced online, and that is that reels or portrait videos are sort of all the rage, and that's really what you want to be focusing your efforts on to creating that portrait, those portrait videos, and using that. So, I mean, that's pretty standard really, and you probably already know this, but another thing that you should, or rather you want to do is use the editing features that come with the platform you're on, specifically with Meta and Instagram. They prefer that you use the editing platform. So this is at the time of this podcast being created. This episode, they would prefer you to use their editing suite. Now, my only reservation with this is that the Instagram editing platform isn't great, um, which can be a bit of a pain, but persevere with it. Also, another thing that you need to consider is watermarks, wherever possible. Don't use watermarked content. Maybe think of it this way. Use original content on your number one platform and then if you're gonna, if you are gonna use that content on other platforms, that's where you would use the watermarked content. For example, going back to my own, uh, use of social media and Instagram being the main one. I want my Instagram content to be or rather not have a watermark, and then I can use that content on other platforms with the Instagram watermark. So think of it that way. Okay. So here is the third tip for this episode, and it's take inspiration from the big players, the heavy hitters that you see on your social media platform of choice and see what they're doing right now that is working and that is engaging. Okay. There's actually a really good platform that I will link. In the comments for this. So if you are using Instagram, there's a thing called Ninja Analytics, and I'll put a link to that in the description and you can use that. You can go in and observe and see what other platforms are doing and how their engagement, and you can look at what content's really working. So obviously you, I mean, it's a case of really not reinventing the wheel as such. Just look and see what they're doing and see what content works, see what's getting the most engagement, and then start to think, okay, well I can see that's trending in a way that's getting the most engagement. I want to do something along those lines. That way you're not sort of creating content or planning in a vacuum. So look at what the heavy hitters are doing in your Jo, in your chosen rather niche or your chosen sector, and think of what would appeal to your audience, your avatar that you've created in episode one, and then go from there. So that is the final tip for today. Okay, folks. Now it is time to take action. Here's what you need to do off the back of today's episode. Number one. Identify three trending sounds that align with your audience avatar and save them for later use. Number two, research three big hitters in your chosen sector, your niche, and identify one piece of content from each that has great engagement and resonates with your audience. Number three, plan out how you can combine trending sounds and templates with heavy hitter content that you have researched. And hey, before you go, stay tuned for the next episode where we will be covering real slash TikTok structure best practices.
